Hi all,

I'm looking into all kinda anti-spam sollutions, and it seems there are quit a few.

I'm currently using Spamblocker 2 (will be using 3 when it's out of beta) and read a how-to in this forum about Mailscanner. Does MailScanner add more 'spam catches' then Spamblocker (3) with Spamassassin?

I've noticed that my own server doesn't catch as much spam as f.i. google(gmail) or my isp.

What are their secrets?

Hope you guys can point me to some direction ;)...

Thanks,
Niels

I've never liked Mailscanner and exim no longer needs something like it because it has it's own method of calling SA built in. However I don't use that either in SpamBlocker, not even as of SpamBlocker3. I'll probably begin using it in a later version. Probably even soon. First I have to work out with DA staff what changes, if any, are required to how SA is presented in DA.

SpamBlocker3 catches a lot more than my ISP; my ISP lets everything through :( .

Neither gmail nor your ISP will probably tell us what they do. We're lucky, though; the gent who owns JunkEmailFilter.com has been willing to help me and beginning with SpamBlocker3 I'm starting to use some of his ideas.

I really believe the best way to block spam in today's environment is most likely greylisting, and it'll most likely be in SpamBlocker3 as an option.

Jeff
