My host company has a majordomo mailing list as part of their DA set up, but I can't figure out how to create an archives and digest. I've read through all of this forum's archives with the search engine for - mailing list - and mailing list archives - and mailing list digest - but I didn't find any answers.
I checked out the majordomo website and even subscribed to their mailing list after going through their FAQ files, but I still can't understand their directions - for example: "create aliases for mailing list and digest. See section 2.2 of README. Create alias for majordomo user so that his cron generated mail comes to me rather than piling up in /usr/local/mail/majordomo
Is there a simple way of doing this? I thought that DA was supposed to make installing things like this easier for newbies. The mailing list is working, but if I don't have an archives or digest, than it's almost worthless for my purposes.
I installed a forum with phpBB, and it was easy, and it automatically has a search engine as well as an archives. I thought that the mailing list with majordomo would be even easier since it's already set up with DA.
Thanks for any help. I'm ready to pull my hair out. I've been working on this all day, and I'm getting no where but more confused.
