Hi all,

One of my customers have problems using their mailinglist.
Then created one in the user panel calles info@<domain>. Added users.

The mailinglist itself works, if I send mails to it, they arrive. So this is not the problem. Probably the first user added is the 'owner' of the list. This person recieves all messages in "On Behalf" mode. If this occured one time it would not be a problem, BUT the user commits the same mail arrives multiple times.

This is what the customer repeatedly recieves in his mailbox:
From: owner-info@<domain> [mailto:owner-info@<domain> On Behalf Of: <name sender>

Anyone an idea to solve this problem ?
Just for the record: I'm a reseller, so I don't have any root or admin rights to adjust settings.

Hopefully someone can figure it out, I already tried for a hour to change settings in the users' mailinglist.

Since Majordomo included source have you looked through it? Mostly likely the email templates such as resend ;)

I don't understand precisely what you mean ?
I don't have physical access to the server where this problem occurs on, I'm a reseller with a customer with Majordomo probems.

So can you a bit more precise ?
Thanks in forward !

Let's start at the beginning...

"On Behalf of" is NOT anything the server adds; it's often found while using Outlook and Outlook Express.

As far as duplicate emails are concerned, first check to see if they're really duplicates. One way to check is to look at the Message-ID fields in the header of messages that appear to be duplicates. If they're really duplicates the Message-ID fields will be the same.

It's possible for Majordomo to send duplicates, especially if lists are huge.

But it's also possible for it to be a user mail client misconfiguration.
