Make site backup but exclude a directory

I know how to backup all my user data from directadmin, but is there any way i can exclude a certain directory when doing this.

User backups (and therefore reseller backups, which are user backups done by the reseller) don't allow you the option of excluding directories.

You can create your own backup script to do anything you want.
