Making a pop box under a subdomain?

I use Direct admin from my host.

I want to set up a mailbox for subdomain.domain.net not domain.net


I made a subdomain. waited for it to activate. then i wanted to make a email box

"POP3 E-Mail Accounts" -> "Make POP3 E-mail
Account"

It didn't show a drop down box so i could select the domain.

When i tried altering the url and typing

?DOMAIN=subdomain.domain.net

instead of

?DOMAIN=domain.net

it said I don't own the domain (while I do)

Since my host couldn't answer my question he told me to ask and poke around here.

Thus my question...

How can I set up a pop mailbox under a subdomain.

Create the subdomain not as a subdomain, but as it's own site.

Your hosting company may have to make changes to your account to allow you to host more than one site under your user account.

That helped me out. I got them to make a few extra entries for the domains.
Now I can make mailboxes under a subdomain
