Hi,
Currently there are 3 installations of mambo on our server, all maintained by me.
I am figuring out a way to make a shared codebase for these sites in combination with DA on that server for less maintenance -update- efforts.
My idea was to put the standard files and modules in one place, and only the specific templates and config files in the respective clients dirs.
I am still in the thinking phase of how to fix this under DA. The 3 websites are under 3 different users.
-Should I put them all in 1 DA account? [Which is not very desirable since they dont want shared functionalities]
-Should I do something with symbolic or hard links?
-Would apache offer some options by aliasing files?
-Could I put the files in the php include dir [where pear is for example] and include them from there?
Some suggestions or comments would be nice about possibilities or impossibilities..
Br,
Thomas.
