Managed server or dedicated with panel server like DirectAdmin

I'm looking for some advice on behalf of a client who runs a large store on WP, they need a dedicated but don't want to handle server admin themselves. Their team lacks in-depth Linux knowledge, although their programmers are familiar with Direct admin. The client is considering either renting a managed server from providers like Hetzner or getting a regular dedicated and installing a professional version of DA with full support. They're also open to using similar panels like GridPane that offer strong support, with the option to outsource maintenance occasionally.

Personally I'm leaning towards a managed server, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. What would you recommend?

PS. or maybe a strong VPS with dedicated resources?However such VPS are rare and likely as expensive as a managed server.
