Thread: Max E-mails per e-mailaddress
Hello,
I'm a bit new to editing server files, so I might be a bit 'noobish' in questions and/or answering.
I got a VPS running with about 30 accounts. All the accounts have websites and e-mailaddresses running with the server. Now I got one account that has issue's, so much issues that it shows that it have send:
- Warning: 121147 emails have been sent yesterday by x
- Warning: 303582 emails have been sent yesterday by x
- Warning: 6181 emails have been sent yesterday by x
x = the user. Now this isn't even an e-mailaddress, but the 'root' user of that package/account. I suspect it has malware on the website; It's running an old Magento version.
Now I wanna make sure, this and every other user, can't send more e-mails then 200 per day. Because nobody of the current users, will send more then 200 per day.
I tried to google some, where I found the following:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=514
The thing is with this page. When I try to do step 2, that folder doesn't excist in my SSH cmd.
Now when I wonder, if I change this: max_per_email_send_limit=200 in the directadmin.conf file, does it lock the e-mailaddresses too, or is it just for the notificationsystem?
