maximum lengt ID nr phpmyadmin

Hello i have a question related to phpmyadmin..
i want to change ID (number),
what is the maximum length of an ID?

What exact ID in phpMyAdmin do you mean? Where can we see it?

for example: change the id number of an article auto-generated by CMS system..
when i make a new article it is given a ID nr, that i want to change afterwards via phpmyadmin...

i have already done it, but i'm only giving it NRs with 3 or 4 digits and was wondering what was the maximum length in digits...

That has nothing to do with phpMyAdmin at all. You should check a field date-type: INTEGER, INT, SMALLINT, TINYINT, MEDIUMINT, BIGINT. Each of them might have a defined length. Depending of its type you can specify from 1 to 20 digits in length.

i think in my case, the type: 'int (10) unsigned' speaks for itself ;-)
