maximum size of backup?

hello,

which the maximum size of backup that you've used?

can DA handle ( generate, send and retrieve by ftp and restore if necessary) the backup of a user account with around 15GB?

I'm asking this because I just find that cpanel has problems to handle backups with more than 4GB.

DA uses php to ftp by default. It may have trouble transferring files over a certain size. If you have large files you should switch to http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=111

I have not used it to transfer huge files but I have used to DA to make backups larger than 20 GB. I use scp to transfer the files.

If you have large files you might want to use NFS instead.
