mcelog: mcelog read: Function not implemented??

I receive an email message with the following message about once an hour:

"/etc/cron.hourly/mcelog.cron:
mcelog: mcelog read: Function not implemented"

I've tried to google the message, but not much available. Anyone have any ideas on the cause or solution?

Here's the content of mcelog.cron

"#!/bin/bash
/usr/sbin/mcelog --ignorenodev --filter >> /var/log/mcelog"

/var/log/mcelog exists, but it's empty.
