We have had great success with the Menalto Gallery 1.x version running on our sites.
We have a few galleries that are upgraded to version 2. We are having a major problem with the gallery v2 installs. The gallery on the server appears to be working fine. The problem is with the client module that allows us to upload files from the user to the gallery target on the server.
If you check this thread you will see they have the proposed fix action for the problem.
Anytime we have to start modifying server level configuration files, I question whether the software configuration is really that great.
I am not going to make php configuration changes at the root level. In the link above, it states that powweb has a feature in their control panel
I would prefer this kind of capability vice copying a php.ini file to the root of all sites that use the gallery. Then we still have to manually configure the file for the client.
Does anyone have a better way to make these necessary changes?
Is it possible to get future configuration control for items like this added into the DA control panel, similar to what powweb has done?
