Hello,

After some problems with cPanel and huge visitors sites, I tried a test server with DA, its wonderfull and much lighter. So, I am going now to order a new server with DA and start merigating but have a few questions if possible please,

- Is there a way to merigate about big 5-10 accounts from cPanel server to DA server ? or have to do it manually ?

- After reading, I see that am able to run apache 2 with DA, right ? and do you suggest it with huge mysqls and visitors sites ?

Thats all for now,

Thanks :)

What would the purpose of going to Apache 2? I'm just curious what reasons you have for doing it? Otherwise, i recommend that you go with 1.3.x unless abosoultely necessary and you have a valid reason for going to 2.

I just heared its much better than the 1.3.x with load issues! I didn't try it in fact, as all of my server are running cPanel, which is not supporting apache2 yet.

I've also heard that httpd manages threading a bit better. Unless your server load is high even with no swap memory usage I think you'd be better off adding memory than switching to Apache2.

Not that Apache2 doesn't do a great job, it does. But it's not the default install and from time to time you may find yourself posting questions and not getting prompt replies.

For example, you can't just run the standard customapache update scripts; they'll reinstall the old version of apache and things will stop working.
