Hi everyone,
I'm a real newbie with directadmin and linux so please excuse my lack of knowledge. I have a dedicated server and DA and would like to know how to stop the service 'named' to send messages through the message system.
<<<Subject: The service 'named' on server is currently down Today at 09:21 This message has been automatically generated notifying you that the service named is currently down. >>>
I've seen the option 'Notify all admins whenever a service goes down using the messaging/ticket system' in the Administrator Settings and could disable it I suppose but I don't want to deactivate the whole messaging system. So, why don't I restart that service would you ask? Well, my hosting cy' support said :
<< "named" service is just DNS service – you will use it only in case that you will have own NS records on your domain. I assume that you use our DNS, so
this service can be stopped.>>
What can I do to stop that message from bugging me all the time? Any help would be appreciated
