migrating MySQL dbases from 1 free BSD server to another.

Migrating dBases from 1 server as .tar.gz to a newer, faster one, by the book, gives problems. Mail can not sent through the new server. - localhost-
Any idea where we can adjust some settings ?
Also this goes for blog dbases etc etc.
So we are really under fire from clients... ;-((

You can't just download the tar.gz from your old server to your new one and import the database? Are you using PhpMyAdmin? If not, I'd start there - it will save you a lot of time and energy regarding the migration of databases if you are unfamiliar with how to do it from the shell.

I'm not sure how mail problems tie into your database issues though... please explain what you mean.

mail get's intothe squirrel boxes, but do not reach the oulook accounts.

What does that have to do with databases?

There's no such thing as a squirrel box.

Squirrelmail is an imap client.

To where on the server is the mail actually being delivered?

Are you running mbox or Maildir?

What's the output of:

grep aildir /etc/exim.conf

???
