Hi,
I recently decided to use a brand new domain for my servers.
Let's say that domain is hosting.nl. For every VPS I want to use a subdomain like:
VPS 1 is srv1.hosting.nl
VPS 2 is srv2.hosting.nl
All my VPS' are at company A registered, hosting.nl is at company B registered.
In the control panel of my domain I have no DNS records at this point so I make srv1 as A record with in @ and the value of the VPS 1.
If I go to srv1.hosting.nl:2222 I'm reaching my Directadmin on my VPS which is good. I know how to add SSL etc to DirectAdmin so I got that.
The thing is, do I need more DNS entries to get mail or something working or is that A record the only DNS I have to use? Since every domain on DirectAdmin gets its own DNS records like SPF, DKIM, 10 mail etc.etc.
What is the bare minimum I have to setup in my domain for DNS records to get DirectAdmin working and get mail delivered?
Greetings,
Dennis
