Missing Users?

All,
I see about 10-15 users in "Show All Users" under the admin level which do not exist when I try to back up the user under reseller backup. When viewing all users it shows the creator as "admin" but the user still does not show when trying to perform backups. Any ideas?

Hi,

Any users that show up on Show All Users but not on your reseller list are likely owned by a reseller other than yourself. The below command should tell you the owner of any user you wish--just replace USER with a real user's name.

grep creator /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/USER/user.conf

Weird. I grepped for creator and it returned "admin" ... any other ideas?

On the Show All users screen, which user is shown as the creator for each user?

It shows

user: bideas
creator: admin

if I click on admin it takes me to a list of users as well .. this user does not show there... it's very very strange.

Something in your server is out of sync. You're going to have to use some sysadmin skills :) . Have you contacted DirectAdmin support?

Nope... I was wondering if anyone knew how to initiate a backup of an account manually? That's all I really want to do is get the account to another box...

Anyone know how to do what I need to accomplish or do I have to move the sites all manually?

I hate to bring this back up but I still am not sure why I can't see the users on the system for backing up but I can see them in "Show all users"

Any ideas?

Hello,

All Users created by "admin" must show up in:
/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/admin/users.list
If not, they won't show up on the backups page.
If they're not there, just add them, 1 username per line.

This is happening to one of my vps users too. In this case it's over 50 users, and only some are missing. Any way or DA script to refresh that list ?

(tried updating DA, restarting, re-tallying user cache,. and no luck.)
