mod_security issue

hey guys

i'm gettig this error

ns2# httpd: Syntax error on line 70 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: API module structure 'security2_module' in file /usr/local/libexec/apache2/mod_security2.so is garbled - expected signature 41503232 but saw 41503230 - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO, or was compiled for a different Apache version?

new install of apache/php/mod_perl etc\

any ideas would be great

you can help us by telling us the apache version that you're running
and how did you installed mod_security..

apache version is 2.2.9 , everything was installed via custombuild - OS is FreeBSD
