Does anyone on this board have DA working with Modernbill? How well is it the integration working? I ask because I have not seen a question posted about the DA server module on the MB forum in over a month. Doesn't seem like they are doing much in terms of DA integration, unless it works well already. Thanks.

According to Modernbill's website they do have a DirectAdmin module. Or am I missing something?

Mark

Sorry, that was not my question. I am well aware there is a module. There has been one for sometime. I just no information in terms of further development on this module. There hasn't been a post in the DA server module section of the MB Support forum in over 1.5 months. Naturally I have my concerns about their support for DA.

It is our intent to set up and support (for our clients) ModernBill for DA.

Unfortunately we haven't had time in our busy schedule to do that as yet :( .

I have it and its working perfectly for me. :)
Theres not much development that needs to be done on the module anymore unless something drastic changes in DA such as cluster compatibilty or something since its fully functional.

That's basically what I was looking for. The lack of problems in Da amazes me when looking at other CPs.

Do you know if MBill supports the "Add Domain" feature of DA? I am under the impression that it does not. If so how do you deal with it? One of DA's strongest suits is the single control panel for multiple domains.

I have not experimented with that particular area yet but it looks like it has the ability to add domains, pop3 accounts, and mysql databases to the plan as add-ons if set up and if you allow users to upgrade their accounts through modernbill.
But if you add domains through DA already MB will know nothing about it, although if the user is out of domain slots they will have to buy it through MB so I think it should do what you want it to.

If not you can always request that it be done, they are pretty good about adding suggestions (if their within reason and will probably have a demand for it) ;)

I'm not sure MBill knows how to deal with an existing user adding another domain(single control panel scheme). This was presented on the MBill support forum, but I never heard any clear answer. Can you test this on your install.

I aksed MB Support about this and here's what they said:

We are working with DA on that issue now, no ETA.

One of our developers was talking to the DA guys about that last week. they are going to have to add that to their API for us.

The DA module works if if all you really need out of it is adding the account, suspending the account and deleting the accounts for virtual or reseller accounts. I have been trying to get additional features added for months with no luck.

The development was going good earlier in the year but then everything seemed to be put on hold. I had several questions go unanswered for months and wrote it off until just recently as our use of MB and DA were for a new separate project that got put on hold to focus on a Data Center move. I just recently updated some of the threads and have received answers that some stuff will be added into the next version, so we will see.

There are definitely things that I would like to see added so I am going to give it one last shot to see where it goes.

No, it does not currently support this. A recent update to this thread if you have access to the MB forums suggests they are working on it with DA.

As you can see, this is one of the threads that has been going on for some time. If any of you would like to see this added please jump in and let them know over there as the "squeeky wheels" get the oil.

Thanks EWH1. I will post over there shortly. It amazed me when I didn't see a new post for DA in 2 months over there. I have a ModernBill license,, but Silverstar from whoiscart is coming soon. Also I wonder how much of DA DRAMS system Plus supports. Anyone who knows chime in.

DRAMS supports create/terminate/suspend/unsuspend via the DA API. These functions are fully automated from within DRAMS.
If you have any other questions, let us know.

Any plans to support bandwidth billing and the additional domain feature to the same user?

Bandwidth billing is currently being developed. We will certainly look into the additional domain feature.
