Directadmin is usually very fast with updates.
Nevertheless, can't find ModSecurity 2.9.1 (release Mar 9 2016) in Custombuild.
Please add ModSecurity 2.9.1 to Custombuild as it contains various fixes compared to ModSecurity 2.9.0.

Thanks.

No reply whatsoever, is ModSecurity on a dead end here?

Check the list of Members who have read this thread (down bellow on the page). None of the Directadmin staff has read the thread. Probably the better would be in this case to open a ticket with Directadmin Support.

Updated Apache mod_security to 2.9.1 on files1.
But the nginx refactored version hasn't been released, so it's still set to 2.9.0.

Thanks for the reply.
Maybe it's a good idea to close this section.
When no one is looking here (staff related), or very late, it might be smart to just work with tickets only.

If you need a quicker response from directadmin developers then you should consider opening a ticket. If you need to get a free help then forums are good to go.

I'm not in charge to close or open sub-forums, and don't see any reason for them to be closed either.

Don't need help.
if the staff does not do anything with the information and not updating anything like ModSecurity 2.9.1 (after months).
What is the usefulness of this sub forum then?

To other user to know about updates for example?

As Alex pointed out, forum is for help between users, and i'm actually glad and happy that someone take 5 mins of his time to post the updates for the software, because at that point i can either choose to:

1 - Send an email to DA Staff regarding the thread to ask them an update of the software
2 - Update by myself
3 - Check if users had issue on update with specific OS and find the workaround

Anyway, up to you to just ignore this sub-forum if you dont see any use of it.

Regards

Just before submitted my request, I thought the staff would read it here.
That has been a wrong assumption, from my side.
and I suspect there are more users with that assumption.

What's the point to submit an update request at this forum if nobody picks it up?

I'd prefer that the staff concentrates on their work preparing a new release of Directadmin and new skin, developing new features and fixing existing bugs. A new version if you need can be installed through utilizing custom version file in custombuild folder.

So I don't see any reason on why directadmin developers should spend their time to monitor new threads on the forums.

Anyway if you don't see how it might be useful for you now... simply do not use it. And that's OK. I don't use Instagram for example and don't see how can it be useful for me. And do not ask to destroy it ;)

We clearly have a different opinion. I'll send a ticket and forum post the next time.
Topic can be closed.

The other obvious reason on why there might be delays with adding new versions in custombuild is that a new version might conflict with other software, or needs extra testing. So that's again OK.
