Just wondered why the monthly reset cron happens at 4.20am by default, and not before the tally cron. I had a client go over bandwidth yesterday, and seeing as it was only 1 day to go, I unsuspended it, but it just been suspended again.

Therefore, in my opinion, the monthly reset cron should be run before the tally cron.

I have manually changed this now - reset cron @ 0:05 am. I assume this is ok, no diverse effects?

I agree with that, the monthly reset should run before the tally or at least have a check if is the first night of the month to not suspend the users who are over the bandwidht quota.

Best regards

I guess that monthly reset comes after nightly tally because you still need the last day of month counted.

If that is so, when you MANUALLY suspend the account, a switch should be created for that account to say "do not suspend" for the tally.

Does the reset really need to be at ~4am though? Our accounts hardly go over the bw limit, but I can sense p'eed off clients when this scenario happens - even if it is just for 4 hours (by default).

I don't know it for sure, and I don't recall any issue with it on our side, so please let me know if you have more information and/or experiences on the matter. But my understanding is that if an account was suspended by nightly tally then it has a reason of suspension specified there... and since that with monthly reset the account with domains should be unsuspended. Or do I miss anything?

That has actually happend to me too at the beginnin of this month.

A user was suspended on the night between 28th of Feb and 1st of March because of bandwidht overusage, that's why i think somehow the reset comes after.

Best regards
