Most preferred server OS for new DA setup?

Hello,
I was going to set up a machine or 2 and wonder what is/are the most preferred server OSs to work with DA? I have run DA on a machine with redhat for a while but need to make a change so I thought I would do this post and get some feedback.

The most important thing is what OS are you the most comfortable using? For me it's FreeBSD so thats what I use.

if DA supports that OS, its ok !

I certainly agree that you should use an OS you're familiar with.

That said, DirectAdmin is originallly written on CentOS, a free-as-in-beer, free-as-in-speech recompile of RHEL open source code. Everything else is a port.

That said, this question has been asked on these forums before .

The most important thing is what OS are you the most comfortable using? For me it's FreeBSD so thats what I use.

My choice is either CentOS or Debian.

I use CentOS. But, you should use what you are comfortable with.
