I'm using a Wordpress webpage on Cpanel host. I've just bought a Directadmin host, setup services on Centos OS. Now i can access it at ip:2222.

Because i have no experience in website hosting, i don't know how to move my website from Cpanel to Directadmin. I asked the administrator but he can only backup the old website for me, he doesn't know using Directadmin.
Please can you show me how to do.

My website address: http://sangkheb.info/www.nova-kh.com/

I found that my Directadmin has a different interface than the others i can find on the Internet.
This is mine

This one i found

Thank you.

You need:

1 - Backup your current site FTP and MySQL
2 - Add a the domain name on DirectAdmin
3 - Create a MySQL DB for the created domain
4 - Upload the ftp in the path domains/DOMAINNAME/public_html
5 - Upload your DB MySQL using phpMyAdmin in your new DB
6 - Edit wp-config.php to match the new MySQL access data

I suppose it's done, but, you would need a sysadmin to manage your server if you have no experience with that.

Feel free to PM me for a quote, for mange your server or for do this "move" for you.

Regards

Well if neither you nor your admin know DirectAdmin you've got a learning curve ahead of you. Or you can hire Andrea or someone else to administer your site for you. Lots of experienced DirectAdmin administrators and webmasters here :).

There's a conversion script you can find on these forums (use Google to search) which may be able to do the conversion for you, to convert a cPanel backup to restore with DirectAdmin. However lately some posters have found it doesn't work for them.

So Andrea's suggestion is likely best.

You're logged into your own server at the admin level. From there you'll need to either create a domain at the User level (see right side panel), or for the most future flexibility, especially if you're going to eventually add other domains to the erver, and also for increased security, enter the reseller level and create a new separate user for the domain.
