hello,
my scene is i am running a file hosting site with directadmin control panel there will be four sub domains on that server with four hard disk ,each sub domain should point to separate disk i mean data of one subdomain in disk a other on disk b ,disk c, disk d

DC has mounted the disk as follows :-

disk1 is mounted as /home/disk1
disk2 is mounted as /home/disk2
disk3 is mounted as /home/disk3
disk 4 is mounted as /

please guide how to achieve this

thanks.

i read some post but much confusion tried the way of copying files and symlink but ftp wont work :( , isnt there any option like cpanel sort accounts option ?

I've never used cPanel long enough to understand what you're talking about, sorry.

What exactly did you try? And what exact errors do you have?

Did you read this http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35039&p=186763#post186763 ?

Note, if you're going to answer my questions, take care to answer all the three questions and do it as more detailed as you can. Otherwise it might be impossible to give you any good help here.

cpanel has an option called "rearrange an account using it we can move accounts between home partitions just with a click

as mentioned in first thread my dc has mounted my four disk server as follows :-

disk1 is mounted as /home/disk1
disk2 is mounted as /home/disk2
disk3 is mounted as /home/disk3
disk 4 is mounted as /

trying method in that post ,i tried copying data of second domain second domain to disk1 ie /home/disk1/secondomain and created a symlink in /home/admin/domains folder to point to new location , symlink was successful and on sftp i tried andw as redirected correct but as soon i tried to ftp created new account it got rejected at listing directory permission denied error strange :(

other threads are talking abt partition as home2 while my disk are mounted as /home/disk2 that is bit confusing shall i unmount those disks and mount them as home 2/ 3 etc ?

thanks

If you mount them the way recommended in other threads as /home1, /home2, etc., then you may find it easier to follow the examples.

However you should be able to do it the way your datacenter has it set up. If you can't do it yourself I or others will be able to do it for you; you can check the advertising forum or you can send me an email for information on my commercial services. Email address below in my siglines.

Note that DirectAdmin will still create new domains in /home; if you want DirectAdmin to use a definable directory for new domains you'll need added scripting.

@bhanuprasad1981,

I'd rather recommend creating a single user for a domain. So it would be;

/home/disk1/user1/
/home/disk2/user2/
/home/disk3/user3/

or

if re-mount your HDDs:

/home1/user1/
/home2/user2/
/home3/user3/

How to do it you can learn by the link http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35039&p=186763#post186763 (I already gave it).

Or, as it was already mentioned, you might want to hire some of us.
