How do I move a domain from godaddy.com to be one of my multi domain domains? I built a site for a client and he agreed to dump godaddy because I told him navigating their site was a nightmare.

Well Godaddy is a registrar and unless you have a reseller account with another registrar (or Godaddy through wildwest domains) the domain can not be transfered to you. Hosting a domain and registering (as in with a registrar) are two different things.

If you are going to host it just log into Godaddy in the account that has the domain in it and point the DNS server to yours then add the domain in their account.

To move a domain from one registrar to another you transfer the domain. However this has nothing to do with DA because as far as I know it does not have the registration and management of domains at the registrar level built in.

I'm moving this thread to Off-Topic, and giving you a better answer because I believe I understand your question a bit better.

I presume the site in question has both domain registration and hosting from GoDaddy.

So what you need to do at GoDaddy is change the DNS servers to point to your DNS servers, and cancel the hosting.

GoDaddy has excellent telephone support; they'll be happy to help you even if they are losing some business.
