Multi Server feature?

Where can I read about the DA Multi Server feature? I have done some searching but only find specific q/a on specific topics about multi-server.

I'm looking for documentation on the multi server feature. I am considering using it, but want to read all about how it works and what interactions it creates.

Anyone know where to find this?

Yea... i had found that one. Though i presume that was just a FEATURE of the multi-server clustering?

Or is this multi-server feature of DA nothing more than a DNS thing?

multi server feature

I dont see what the point of this is, correct me if am wrong here but

have 2 servers connected via multi-server feature, one hosts the websites and email but both host the dns?

So if the server hosting the domains goes down then even if the DNS on the other box is up - it is really pointless as the server doing the mail/web etc (which is down) will be unable to serve any function.

Isnt there any way to actually cluster both servers so domains and their dns can be spread across 2 servers?

If no DNS is responding then mail will get bounced as undeliverable. If the mail server is down but DNS respond then the mail will get queued and delivered when the mail server is back up.

I've written this a lot lately, both in emails and on threads:

Multi-server hosting solutions, whether for load balancing or for redundancy, is not easy, and there are always single points of failure. Even the biggest providers and services go down from time to time. Gmail and other Google products, for example.
