Hello,

I have created a reseller account and assigned it 50 IP addresses or so. However, under that reseller account I have added a username. It seems I can only assign one IP address to each user. I can't figure out how to add any more IP addresses under a user.

Is there a way to do that or is it not suppored? I use to run PLESK and I would assign several IP addresses under a username, however, not sure how to do it in Direct Admin.

Thanks,
Matt

Wow. When will that be changed? I'd like to assign multiple IP's to given users.
Thanks,
mark

Multiple IP addreses to 1 user account

has this been added into direct admin yet. i saw a post from 2006 that it was in the works and in heavy demand

Why don't you edit the httpd.conf manually and give the domain two ips?

I don't know if this will work or not, or create problems or not. I believe you'd have to chattr the httpd.conf file so DirectAdmin could no longer change it, and also that you'd have to set up the IP# manually rather than install it through DirectAdmin.

Note that you can edit:
/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/username/domains/domain.com.conf
and specify the IP you want there, and that will be used in the httpd.conf files. It would be up to you to update the dns accordingly.

As for putting 2 IPs in 1 virtualhost (not sure that's what you want in this case) but you can really do anything you want with the templates. You can use if-then-else on the domain and have 1 virtualhost header for one domain, something else for another, you can also use embedded php to write the virtualhosts, they are extremely customizable... if you know what you're doing.

Much better idea, John, than chattring the file to be immutable.

But yes, requires some thought.
