Multiple shared ips for few users/resellers.

Hello,

I would like to sell few c-class ips shared across few resellers.So for example ip:
1.1.1.1 would be to be used for reseller1,reseller2,reseller3 and so on.

Of course it should be forbidden to create ssl as it would block IP. However can I do this with Directadmin?

I can see that it is easy to give reseller IP but I don't see the future to give pool of shared IPs to few resellers.

never tryed that but is easy to test, give ip 1.1.1.1 to reseller admin and try to give to another reseller aswell (supposing admin2) and check if no error occurs.

Well it is not easy as you think :)

Have you assigned ips to more than one user? It is not possible.
You can assigned ip(s) only to one reseller.
 
well, shared ip are avaible for multiple user, dunno about reseller, thats why i told you to just try, if is not possible, that ask to directadmin as a feature no?

How do you make multiple IPs shared for multiple users? As far as I see user cannot choose shared ip.
 
assign the ip to the reseller, on reseller level go to ip management and select the ip you wanna share and press share :) Then you will be able to assign same ip to differents users.

Yes but it does not solve the problem:) User cannot choose ip.

I need to give for example 100 ips for 3 users. All those ips should be shared.
 
and where is the problem? The only limitation is that the user cannot choose the ip, but you can assign 300 ip to a reseller, share all the 300 ip and assign all the 300 ip to 1000 user (for example).

The only limitation is that maybe user cannot choose what ip use.
 
This is not the "only" limitation:) This is huge limitation.
You cannot offfer SEO packages this way.

You cannot give the same IP pool for a few different clients to use. This is the limit.
 
Ok let's me explain more specific way.

For example I have such pool:

192.168.10.10
192.168.10.11
192.168.10.12
192.168.10.13
192.168.10.14

(i know those are private ips not for public usage this is just for example purposes)

And I would like to give this pool for a few users.All five ips for different users. It does not matter for me if there are resellers or simple users. However each of them has to be able to choose ip when creating site.

Hello,

You can share among resellers only server's IP, that is the IP directadmin is binded (licensed) to.

I guess I'm not sure what you mean by that. Many of us successfully do SEO on and with DirectAdmin-based servers.

Do you mean that you can't give your users the ability to attempt to fool google by creating their own pointer sites on the same server? If that's what you mean, then you're right.
