Add it under subdomains in the control panel and as it says WAIT until it is working. It could take up some time.

but

sonimager.com/sin --> working

Thnx alot

sin.sonimager.com is not resolving under DNS.

Check to see if DA automatically created DNS.

If so, is DNS for both sin.sonimager.com and sonimager.com (the parent domain) hosted on the same server?

You might want to add an A record for sin.sonimager.com to the sonimager.com DNS; that should fix it, though it could take up to 48 hours for some clients to see it.

Here is the DNS:

ftp A 207.234.147.185
localhost A 127.0.0.1
mail A 207.234.147.185
pop A 207.234.147.185
sin A 207.234.147.185
sonimager.com. A 207.234.147.185
www A 207.234.147.185
www.sin A 207.234.147.185
sonimager.com. NS ns1.primarydns.com.
sonimager.com. NS ns2.primarydns.com.
mail MX 10

I do not see sin.sonimager.com in particle... but sin is there.. do I still have to add it?

Why is not DA doing it automatically?

Thnx alot,

The DNS on your DA server is fine.

However, it appears that your DNS is being served not on your DA server but rather at ns1.primarydns.com and ns2.primarydns.com, neither of which are returning A records for sin.sonimager.com.

Those are the nameservers of which point to the IP's of my dedicated server?!

What should I do?

Do I have to add the domain name sin.sonimager.com as a separate domains, I thought I have to do it only for domain names not subdomains...

please do not tell me I have to do it everytime I add a subdomain?! thats crazy.. I have to reboot every time I add a domain name.. that sucks..

Peace,

What I think is that your DNS server isn't setup to be the DNS server for your domain, but ns1.primarydns.com /ns2

So if you modify DNS settings on your machine it doesn't affect anything because ns1.primarydns.com is your nameserver.

If you want the nameserver you set up on DA to work, then for each domain you host, you have to tell the registry where the domains are registered to you use your nameservers.

Jeff

If you look at the IP address for sonimager.com and the IP address for ns1.primarydns.com they are on different networks, the first is on 207.x.x.x and the latter is on 216.x.x.x, From a traceroute I can see that they both reside in the same datacenter but ns1.primarydns.com is your datacenters server.

You need to register 2 nameservers with your registrar, these nameservers should point to the IP of your dedicated server (probably 207.234.147.185 and the second 207.234.147.186). These are the nameservers you should use for all domains on the server.

Your datacenter will not replicate all DNS records on your server!!
