I can log in on the link...but not on the server..

I can log in only on the root...so maybe they make some updates on the server?

You should start giving us more information example:

1 - what is your website?
2 - is it your server or is a hosting?

Make sure, your domain is registered, check with whois

whois domain.com

and make it's delegated and DNS are OK:

nslookup domain.com

and here:

http://intodns.com/
