Mysql 4 and 5 on the same server

Hello,

I have an issue with one of my scripts,it wont run on mysql 5.x
Can you please tell me whether if its possible to run mysql 4.x and 5.x on the same server ?

Yes, it possible, but not recommended. You can run the 2nd copy of mysql on another port, and it's data can't be on /var/lib/mysql, you should set another path for it. Also, you will need to set a different port into PHP scripts, too. It's better to fix the script.

The script is somethign hard to fix and also i dont know a good developer to fix it,any recommendations ?
