MySQL 5.0.51 for FreeBSD

Mysql.com has it listed as 5.0.45 so you can either install it via source or via freebsd port system.

I have 5.0.45 installed but the question si why DA wont make 5.0.51 available as RPM.
FreeBSD is a different system than Linux. RPM is for Linux and can NOT be used on FreeBSD. DA doesn't write or make MySQL. As mentioned in this thread, you can upgrade MySQL from port, or using DA script for that purpose.

Hello,

Can anyone please tell me why there is no MySQL 5.0.51 RPM for FreeBSD available at http://files.directadmin.com/services/freebsd6.0/ ?
There is no even 5.0.48 for some reason.

No RPM on FreeBSD but you should be downloading and recompiling the source yourself then installating your own DISTRO. Yout box may like it more since it complied on that server and not distributed as a generic installation.

We had nothing but problem with MySQL downloaded from DA. Once we recompiled the version we wanted, for our own box, the issues previously, went away.

email support asking for the 5.0.51 binaries package it exists in freebsd ports so a package will exist.
