I recently (Last week) I did a reinstall of DirectAdmin and noticed that it installed MySQL 5.7 but isn’t it time to transition over to 8.0?
I have been using it for years now and still use 5.7 because I have no reason to update to 8.0. (And if it is well supported by DirectAdmin, why is it then not the default?)
Isn’t MySQL 5.7 coming near EOL? (I might be wrong, but not sure.)
I use Debian 10 64 bit. So it‘s not like my OS is old and does not support 8.0.
So can someone maybe shed some light on this?
