I can't create databases for my users, nor can they create them for themselves, because of errors about user name lengths. Yes I've searched the forum and tried the hack fixes suggested, and none are working.

I shouldn't have to go in to my MySQL tables and alter the username field length to be able to create databases for my users. cPanel sets MySQL up right, why can't DirectAdmin since it's supposed to be better than cPanel?

When I change the admin password, why in the world isn't the password changed for mySQL?

I can't even login to mysqladmin using the information from mysql.conf.

I reiterate my subject: MySQL and mysqladmin should work from initial install
