THis is my first time using DA. Is there a way to view or control MySQL db's through the DA interface, similar to phpmyadmin? Or do you have to use PHPMyAdmin directly?

Thanks

It matters what you want to do. You can create, delete, and set permissions on the databases with directadmin. If you want to do anything use you can use phpmyadmin.

phpmyadmin

phpmyadmin is running fine but the customer wants to use the panel.

These are the options I have:

--Server Management
Create Administrator
List Administrators
Change Passwords
Manage Tickets (0 new) Create Reseller
List Resellers
Manage Reseller Packages
Show All Users

--Admin Tools
IP Management
DNS Administration
Admin Backup/Transfer
Multi Server Setup
Mail Queue Administration
Move Users between Resellers
System Information
Service Monitor
System Backup
Log Viewer
File Editor
Process Monitor

--Extra Features
Complete Usage Statistics
Custom HTTPD Configurations
PHP SafeMode Configuration
Administrator Settings
Licensing / Updates
Plugin Manager

but the customer wants to use the panel.

These are the options I have:

Shouldn't you be showing what options the customer has instead of the options you have? You are the administrator, the customer is not. Therefore different options exist.

mysql

How do I make mysql appear in the menu? I installed mysql through DA. Mysql is up and running.

I will say it again. Show us the options your customer has. Login as your customer and copy and paste what he sees.

reseller

Since there is only one user, I configured them as a reseller.

Until you do as I asked I cannot help you. I think if you login as the user you will see that they have a mysql link. But you won't do as I asked so I cannot help you.

I don't know why you pasted the user options from the modify user link. Its not what I asked for.

User Level. User Level. User Level. User Level.

Not Admin. Not Reseller. User Level.

A reseller IS a user also. You have to get to the User Level of the reseller.

The link works in IE for some reason but not FireFox. But you can go to demodemo.com and get there through their links.

danfitz1 You seem to lack some basic understanding of how DirectAdmin works. I think you need to learn to use DirectAdmin first and then probably all your questions will be answered. I suggest spending some time reading through site-helper.com, and watching all the DA tutorials at demodemo.com.
