Hello

There is something wrong with the MySQL backup down load via the DA, I think there is a bug, has informed about it before, but I have not seen a solution yet.

Are you running a script install, or through custombuild? What error are you getting?

Jeff

Hey Jeff,

It was you last time also wondered about how the error was. So it is when you click the download link is an html page full of weird codes.

That the DA does not pack the database correctly, the same bug I have on both servers. It should be .gz? Or .tar.gz?

Exactly what are you trying to download? A backup of a database? If so, on what screen are you making the backup?

Jeff

Perhaps you can see something from those images, but I don't think the rest of us can; for the first image, you've blurred everything... and as far as the second image is concerned, .gz files and .tar.gz files will look similar.

Jeff

It looks like your browser is not handling .gz files correctly and, instead of asking if you want to save the file, attempting to open it as a text file. If you right click the download link and select "Save Target As." you should get the regular popup asking you where you want to save it.

Do note you will need a program like 7-zip to extract a .gz file on Windows. Inside the .gz file will be a single file with the name of the database that can be opened in notepad/dumped into a new database.
