Mysql Error

when I click in MySQL Management I got this:

Error connecting to MySQL: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

any help?

I think if it was working then stopped suddenly it will be hard quta issue
u must check the space on your harddisk using from shell :
df -k

I don't think it's a space problem:

[root@wingerhost ~]# df -k
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda1 82569904 1898600 76477000 3% /
none 262220 0 262220 0% /dev/shm

any other reason?

can you show the output of your my.cnf?

If you don't have, create it.

Add the following line before skip-locking.
datadir=/var/lib/mysql
socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

only phpmyadmin still not working...

I didn't have the my.cnf file, and I am using mysql5 in this vps, so I've used:

cp -f /usr/share/mysql/my-huge.cnf /etc/my.cnf

my.cnf is attached
