Is there any way for me to use MySQL-Max?

I see a lot of super-optimized my.cnf files on this board, but 80% of those optimizations only work for MySQL-Max.

I have been able to install it, but I don't like DirectAdmin keeps on saying that my MySQL service is down.

Other people here using Max?

There was another thread regarding this. No solution was posted for it as well. MySQL-Max was installed and working but DA did not register it as online. A possible cause was because MySQL-max may use a different id than the normal mysql that DA is looking for. If that is the case some solutions is change the id of mysql-max to mysql and fake it, or DA implements a smart detection system. Thats if that really is the cause. More troubleshooting testing that theory is needed.
Maybe someone has found a solution, but its doubtful since they didn't update that other post.

It is a theory. I think mysql-max's id is 'mysql-max' or similar and directadmin is monitoring for the 'mysqld' process instead. It hasn't been proven or disproven yet which is why it needs testing.
I do not know how to change it if it is though :(
It might work properly if you disabled monitoring of mysql by editing the service.status file. Check help.directadmin.com I think there are instructions for disabling services monitoring there.

It would make directadmin report that mysqld was constantly down but at least it wouldn't try starting it every minute.
