MySQL problems

Hi All,

I experience a hangup in my SQL-service every now and then. Restarting solves the problem.

Logfiles do not give me an exact reason. I did however detect an abnormal amount of traffic from one or a few persons to the server at that time. Might have been a heavy load on a SQL-database in terms of a lot of connections?

Server information:
P4 3Ghz
2048 MB mem

Anyone tips or hints for troubleshooting?
I am also looking for a monitoring tool on the server for this, anyone with a suggestion?

Try limiting the number of simultaneous and/or connections per hour (I think) for the accounts that look suspicious.
This can be done through phpMyAdmin using root or da_admin.
