Mysql restart when changing hostname

Hello,
If we change the hostname without stop mysqld before it will not stop, or start until you change the new hostname to the old one because the mysl_hostname.pid.

Is it possible to DA Team add a feature which will:
Stop mySQL
Change hostname
Start mySQL

hostname changing through DirectAdmin still needs a little work. There are several things that have to be done manually, and doesn't work on some servers, according to some of the threads around.

Are you saying the problem with MySQL occurs when you change the hostname using DA? Or when you just change it manually using the hostname command?

I've changed in DA
from hotname1 to hostname2 and mysql didn't stop/restart/start before i change it again to hostname1.

I'd bring this to DA support staff attention if I were you.
