mysql username and db name > 16 char

can i`m use username and dbname more 16 char for mysql?

just a suggestion:
you could ofcourse explain why its only 16 chars
that way you would handle the too short error and provide people with usefull information?

Actually you can but you have to recompile mysql from source.

But then I believe DirectAdmin would keep you from creating a longer name anyway.
