Ok. Here's the scenario.

Domain: whojah.com
Nameservers: ns1.whojah.com / ns2.whojah.com

I have pointed whojah.com to the ns servers above from the place where whojah.com was purchaced. They also resolved to the correct IP when pinged. But the actuall whojah.com cannot be resolved. I have assigned it an ip through directadmin. Any ideas?

ns1.whojah.com - 216.87.38.133
ns2.whojah.com - 216.87.38.134

whojah.com is supposed to be 216.87.38.131 (can ping ip but not domain)

Thats a great question. I just bought this dedicated server. I guess I was thinking it would be on by default.

Go to DirectAdmin, then Service Monitor, there you'll see named.

Let me check your server, I'll fix that in minutes. Just contact me on MSN, ICQ or Skype. I'll fix that for free.

Ok SMTALK. whatever you did today worked... for a little bit. But quit about an hour later. Any ideas?

Ya. I had to allow tcp and udp 53. Not sure why it worked and then it didn't. But it all seems to be working now. SMTALK...thanks brother.
