hello everyone, i'm new to directadmin, and i'm trying to move branchenauskunft-24.com, to a new server with directadmin

so, i added the domain, created the nameservers : ns1.branchenauskunft-24.com, and ns2...

pointed them to the ip of the server

in Ip managment i have only 1 ip listed

so ns1 and ns2 have the same ip (is there the problem?)

but when i try to update the nameservers to the domain reg., i get an error, i looked up the namservers on http://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/ns1.branchenauskunft-24.com

but there no where to be found, ok it takes time, but not that long, i'm afraid i did something wrong

please help

yes one ip for ns is a risk but would work aswell.

what error you get? what are the ip of the server so we should try dig it?

Are you sure you have open port 53 on firewall? Is named running?

Regards

well i think i found the problem, the domain branchenauskunft-24.com was bought from domain.com, i registered the new nameservers, ns1.branchenauskunft-24.com and ns2..., with the ip of the new server (178.211.55.201)

but when i try to update the nameservers , i get the error message :

Unable to Change Name Servers with Registry, or invalid Name Server.

You need to register the namservers on domain.com where you bought the domain, you should be able to add your own nameserver in a specific area before assign to a domain those ns.

Regards

here are some printscreens

Your nameservers of record are at nameresolve.com. domain.com appears to be a DBA of Dotster.

Make sure your new nameserver is responding. Also make sure there are A records for it in it's zonefile on the new nameserver.

Then if it still doesn't work contact support for domain.com
