Need clarification on Mailman (NOT Majordomo) web interface in DirectAdmin

Hello DirectAdmin community,

I'm working on system administration support across multiple environments (managed/shared servers, various distros, cPanel, DirectAdmin, etc.) and I'm encountering confusion regarding Mailman integration in DirectAdmin.

The Problem:I cannot find clear, current documentation on how to access or install the Mailman web interface in DirectAdmin. I see references to an internal panel within DirectAdmin Evolution, but no actual management interface or installation guide.


Important distinction:

• I'm looking for Mailman (Python-based, modern mailing list manager with full web UI)
• NOT Majordomo (Perl-based legacy system that DirectAdmin includes by default)

What I've found:

1. DirectAdmin natively includes Majordomo, not Mailman
2. Old forum threads from 2008-2016 showing manual Mailman compilation
3. Mentions of an internal panel in DA Evolution, but unclear what it actually provides
4. No clear path for Mailman web interface access (/mailman/admin or /mailman/listinfo)

My questions:

1. Does DirectAdmin Evolution have native Mailman support, or only Majordomo?
2. If there's a panel for mailing lists in DA-EVO, does it provide Mailman functionality or just Majordomo management?
3. Is there an official/supported way to install Mailman with DirectAdmin in 2025?
4. If manual installation is still required, is there an updated guide for current DA versions?

Context:

• Running DirectAdmin Evolution
• Need proper web-based list management (web subscription forms, archives, etc.)
• Majordomo's email-only interface doesn't meet requirements

Has anyone successfully integrated Mailman with modern DirectAdmin? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I believe directadmin does not offer any support of Mailman. That's up to you to install and integrate it.
