Need help with AWstats permissions

One of my guys made a mistake and changed the permissions on a lot of files. Awstats is no longer updating.

Error: Couldn't open file "/etc/awstats/awstats112009.domainname.com.tmp.25889" for write: Permission denied

Setup ('/etc/awstats/awstats.domainname.com.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).

Could someone tell me what the permissions are for the directory and the files within /etc/awstats

Also, the permissions for /home/user/public_html/awstats

I have no other servers to compare these permissions to. Any other suggestions will be welcomed.
