Hello, hope yall are doing well. I just bought new webhosting on interserver with directAdmin for first time, I have some experience with programming, but I dont have any knowledge in webhosting, I thought I could learn online, but surprisingly, I could not find anything useful or relevant for me, I want to develop websites on wordpress, can you help me with the things I should configure on directAdmin before installing WP? also any resources to learn how to configure would also be helpful. Thank you for your time.

Did you buy webhosting? Or did you buy a server or VPS where you are admin of the Directadmin panel including root/ssh access?
Because in the first case, you are on the wrong forums. This forum is only attended for Directadmin license holders, so admins.

Hosting customers should ask there host for support.
For other kind of hosting questions, like website development and other things, you should ask on a general forum like webhostingtalk.com and similar sites.
Because as hosting customer, there is little you can do to configure.
And if your hosting provider (so if you are hosting customer, not admin) has setup Directadmin correctly, then best things is to provide protection via .htaccess files and WP firewall addons.

go for Litespeed (free/Pro), and use the Litespeed Wordpress Plugin for Caching and Optimization, together with Redis and opCache, then check db usage and settings after a while with mysqltuner. Give each WP enough RAM, lower settings for hartbeats and automatic saving. theres sure a lot more, but as a startpoint..

thank you for the reply, I will checkout litespeed pro, but I want to learn about how to manage the hosting in directadmin, for wordpress, there are lots of resources out there, but I could not find anything on directadmin, thats why I posted the thread here, thank you.

As you can see from his/her reply, he/she is not an admin but a hosting customer, so those are no options for him/her. ;)

thats why I posted the thread here, thank you.
Understandable, but we don't support those kind of things here, only Directadmin itself. Because as you can see from Johannes reply, some things often also depend on setup and configuration done by the server owner. Hope you will succeed!
