Yesterday in one of my server i have been recieved alot's of spam. I was reported someone (outside user) was using one of any mail domain (mail.domainname.com); i don't how he was able to send spam by using some email software.
In other hands in win2k we are using IMail; and there is an option by which we can block above mentioned thing. But in Linux an external user can use email program which let them to use any mail.domain.com and they can able to send spam; this is only in case for linux. ( I need to block this thing). And this has been happend with me.
I have stopped the exim service for the time being. I am running Fedora core 2.
My first question is :-

How can i secure my exim against spamming/spoofing ?
I need to know what is the best option/software to stop spam; and how can i know who is spamming ?
My second question is :-

As i have mentioned earlier I need to know the way to block which won't let any external user to use any mail domain through which he can spam by using his mail programs ?
I hope someone take me towards a good direction
