Hi. I just setup a new server but I want dependable antispam and antivirus with users having control over black and white lists. Which setup should I use?

Please provide any instructions or link to another thread if possible.

Thanks

DA comes with SpamBlocker and with SpamAssassin, but not with any anti-virus solution.

See these forums for information on SpamBlocker and on SpamAssassin. You should probably update to SpamBlocker Version 2 if your server isn't using it yet, as SpamBlocker Version 1 whitelisting didn't work consistently.

You can find posts on these forums for anti-virus solutions; none of them are inherently compatible with SpamBlocker.

We'll be releasing a free and open-source VirusBlocker solution for DA early in the new year.

I've been trying to persuade Chirpy from the forums for the other control panel I use to convert his system over - it uses open source software in an excellent configuration to be incredibly effective...

No joy so far :(

Unless he's already written it for exim, it could be a bit of work; exim is extremely good, and once you learn it it's incredibly versatile, but it's very different.

That's the beauty - it's already using exim, spamassasin, mailscanner, clamav and a few other things like that. It's got a useful admin tool - mailwatch and a customer config panel (which could so easily be a plugin for DA.
