Hello all,

I would like to have the possibility to redirect www.example.com to example.com using the Site Redirection section in DirectAdmin instead of creating an .htaccess file in the website root.

Thanks.

:p

The other day I was using cpanel and found this feature...very useful for what I was doing.
And I think it isn't very difficult to implement, is just a little feature a user is asking.

:)

I've just tested it; it works with DirectAdmin's redirect feature.

At least for me.

How you get it to work?

If I try to redirect a www address to a non-www Firefox says "The page is not redirecting properly"

I haven't tried other browsers.

My error; I was going in the other direction.

I agree; there's no way to do it right now. Perhaps a good feature addition.

If the only reason you need this is for Secure (https) access, you might want to use a Cert that works either with or without the www.

We offer them with or without DirectAdmin installation; check the Advertising forum.
