as the topic says, im new to directadmin
i have a website previously setup by my friend
but she is no longer available to continue setting up the website
so now i have lotsa troubles cause i never use directadmin before!!
i tried the supports and site helper.. i got an idea about how it is really done.. but it is really too hard for me to digest.. and some are not described in details...

a domain was already setup : www.shenjianhong.net
do take a look at it, cause it will help you understand better of what im asking.

here are the questions i wanna ask for 'your account'
domain setup ---> i dont need to touch this right? since i want the domain to be as it is right now..
support center ----> whats this? and what it does ??
installed perl modules ---> whats this?
site summary/statistics/logs --> anything i need to lookout for?
ftp management --> i dont know whats ftp...
frontpage extensions ---> what does this do?
mysql management ---> what do i have to do with this?

here comes the hardest part..
file manager --> i see some common files in file manager, is it done manually? and if it is done manually, how do i know which one to upload and which one to not? and where does all the files come from? is it from the installatron? if i want to start everything all over again, what can i do? i need the web design done by my friend in www.shenjianhong.net thats the only thing i need.. is it under file manager? or is it under the site's admin control?

'email management'
nothing much from this section, except that i have problem deleting the email account previously created.. it says it is used under system.. i don't know how to delete that email .. cause i want a new one..
also, i see a few different webmails.. why are there so many diff webmails?
in addition , the 'webmail' button at the top of the site is also another different one...

'advanced features'
ssl cert --> whats this and what it does?
Cronjobs --> whats this and what it does
Mime Types --> whats this and what it does
Apache Handlers --> whats this and what it does
phpmyadmin --> this one is too confusing.... im guessing under phpmyadim are all the things installed thru installatron? i see 'wordpress, phpbb...etc' under it.. same goes for file manager...
domain pointer --> cant figure out what it really does..
installatron --> i can install those things perfectly fine.. but the prob now is.. i dunno how to uninstall the things installed earlier, for eg wordpress.. when i clicked 'wordpress', it only shows 'new install'.. i cant see the 'uninstall' button..

i know my questions are very confusing.. here are some general ideas.. hope it helps.. D:

> i want to uninstall the wordpress, phpbb, chat and so on created .. those you see in www.shenjianhong.net

>but i need the webdesign you saw in the site

>when you use installatron to install for eg simple machine forums, then you typed the link as 'forum', does all the scripts automatically added in direct admin (file manager, mysql etc)? and under file manager i assume that it will show as the name 'forum', right?

>saw some common files under 'filemanager'.. is it done manually or automatically, if manually, how do i know which one is needed to appear under a few folders?

>the email question shown above..

yes i know all my questions are still very messed up, cause i dont know which one to start.. someone if you could offer me step by step answer will be greatly appreciated! please help me! cause as you can see it is a fansite.. fans in many countries are waiting for it to be done.. sorry for my stupidity in this... but pls pls do help me!!!! thanks!!!!!

Or maybe pay someone to administer Your account if You don't ,or can't , lern how to do it Yourself. ;)

This forum isn't for end-user help in designing or installing websites. I'll try to answer as many of your questions as I can, but I don't think you have the skillset you need to proceed with developing the site.

I see only an error which means there's no index in your public_html directory.
domain setup ---> i dont need to touch this right? since i want the domain to be as it is right now..
Right.
support center ----> whats this? and what it does ??
Depending on your hosting company, it should access either a help system or a help website.
installed perl modules ---> whats this?
Nothing you have to worry about.
site summary/statistics/logs --> anything i need to lookout for?
Not to get your site up and running.
ftp management --> i dont know whats ftp...
frontpage extensions ---> what does this do?
If you don't know how to use FTP and you don't know how to use the file manager, and you don't know how to manage FrontPage, then you're really going to either learn or have someone else upload your site for you.
mysql management ---> what do i have to do with this?
If your site uses MySQL you may or may not need this; ignore it until everything else works.
file manager --> i see some common files in file manager, is it done manually? and if it is done manually, how do i know which one to upload and which one to not? and where does all the files come from? is it from the installatron? if i want to start everything all over again, what can i do?
The file manager gives you a look into the files in your website. We can't help you figure out what's there because that depends on what your friend did.
i need the web design done by my friend in www.shenjianhong.net thats the only thing i need.. is it under file manager? or is it under the site's admin control?
It should be under the public_html directory if it's been uploaded properly. You should probably find someone local to you to look at your site files (if they're not on the server and you don't have them you may have to start over) and help you.

You can't delete that one; it's part of your system account. You can create any others you need or want.
also, i see a few different webmails.. why are there so many diff webmails?
in addition , the 'webmail' button at the top of the site is also another different one...
Webmail settings are determined by your hosting company; ask them.
ssl cert --> whats this and what it does?
Cronjobs --> whats this and what it does
Mime Types --> whats this and what it does
Apache Handlers --> whats this and what it does
Nothing you need to worry about now.
phpmyadmin --> this one is too confusing.... im guessing under phpmyadim are all the things installed thru installatron? i see 'wordpress, phpbb...etc' under it.. same goes for file manager...
The above means simply that programs have been installed through installatron. If you don't know why, then we can't really help you with that.
domain pointer --> cant figure out what it really does..
Ignore it.
installatron --> i can install those things perfectly fine.. but the prob now is.. i dunno how to uninstall the things installed earlier, for eg wordpress.. when i clicked 'wordpress', it only shows 'new install'.. i cant see the 'uninstall' button..
Programs may or may not have uninstall features; you might have to contact the people who produce those programs, or their support forums if any.
> i want to uninstall the wordpress, phpbb, chat and so on created .. those you see in www.shenjianhong.net but i need the webdesign you saw in the site

I don't see anything there except an error message.
when you use installatron to install for eg simple machine forums, then you typed the link as 'forum', does all the scripts automatically added in direct admin (file manager, mysql etc)? and under file manager i assume that it will show as the name 'forum', right?
Installatron installs the packages. What it puts where differs for each package.

It looks like you may have started a project you really don't have the skills to finish. You may want to find a volunteer from the fanbase who does have the skills.
